2-hour clinic designed to deliver both hands-on experience and measurable skill development. Scholars move through a structured progression that begins with safety orientation and risk awareness, followed by equine nutrition, grooming and care, and groundwork communication. We build a foundation of trust, body language, and leadership between horse and rider. For those interested, mounted riding is introduced in a supported, confidence-building format.
The experience extends beyond horsemanship. Scholars participate in a hands-on overland cooking session, preparing lunch together over the campfire that reinforces teamwork, problem-solving, and outdoor living skills.
This clinic is built to remove barriers to entry while maintaining a high standard of instruction, creating an accessible pathway into equine and outdoor recreation. Participants leave with tangible skills, increased confidence, and a clear next step for continued engagement through Camp Outpost programs.
