In partnership with All-Inclusive Aquatics (AIA), Camp Outpost's Inclusive Water Term expands access to water-based recreation for athletes with developmental differences, disabilities, and adaptive support needs.
This progressive water pathway introduces athletes to stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing, and wakesurfing, creating opportunities to explore different water sports while developing foundational skills in water safety, balance, coordination, board and boat control, and environmental awareness.
Our approach is rooted in strength-based, inclusive programming that recognizes what each athlete brings to the experience rather than defining participation by limitations. We intentionally create an environment where athletes of different abilities can learn alongside one another, contribute to a shared experience, and feel a genuine sense of belonging on the water.
Working alongside experienced coaches, athletes receive individualized instruction, adaptive support, and opportunities to progress at their own pace. Our coaching emphasizes existing strengths, personal choice, and achievable challenges that encourage athletes to build on what they can already do while discovering new capabilities.
The goal goes beyond getting athletes out on the water once. We're building a Third Space where inclusion is part of the experience, not a separate accommodation. A place where athletes can take healthy risks, develop physical and emotional capacity, build relationships, and gain the confidence to pursue outdoor recreation beyond our programming.
Through our partnership with All-Inclusive Aquatics, we combine adaptive aquatics expertise with Camp Outpost's outdoor skills programming to remove barriers to participation and create meaningful opportunities for skill progression, independence, and continued access to the outdoors.
Program Enrollment: Open to athletes with developmental differences, disabilities, and adaptive support needs. Our strength-based approach prioritizes individual abilities, comfort levels, and personal goals while creating an inclusive environment built around safety, encouragement, and shared experiences.
