This 60-minute Group Skate session is built for girls, women, and gender-expansive participants, including nonbinary and trans skaters, who are looking for a supportive place to learn, practice, and build confidence on a board.
Camp Outpost coaches will lead participants through a beginner-friendly longboarding skate session focused on safety, board control, balance, movement, and progression at each skater’s own pace. No pressure. No proving ground. Just good coaching, solid fundamentals, and a space designed to make more room in skate culture.
During the session, participants will work through skills like stance, pushing, stopping, turning, safe falling, board awareness, and confidence-based movement. Coaches will offer individualized support throughout the class, helping each skater build from where they are—whether it is their first time stepping on a board or they are ready to sharpen the next skill like carving and transitions.
This program is part of Camp Outpost’s commitment to creating more visible, welcoming pathways into outdoor and action sports for people who have not always been centered in these spaces.
Come as you are. Bring your nerves, your curiosity, your crew, or just yourself. We’ll meet you there and help you roll forward.
